Any resident Indian citizen above 21 years of age with no disqualifying criminal record can apply for an arms licence, provided they can show a genuine reason such as self-defence, sport or crop protection. The licensing authority — usually the District Magistrate or Commissioner of Police — assesses each application individually.
Yes. A valid arms licence is mandatory to purchase and possess any firearm in India. Once you hold a licence specifying the relevant category, you can buy from a licensed dealer, who will endorse the firearm's details onto your licence. We can guide you on the process, but the licence itself must be obtained from your local authority.
Use the enquiry form on any page — just leave your name and phone number and our team will call you back, typically within 24 hours. Mention if you're an authorised dealer or distributor and we'll route your enquiry accordingly.
